Reason for Award: For crowd surfing through her audience whilst singing in French, this Australian cabaret star is something to behold. From her ridiculously funny entrance (during which she had members of the audience dress her) to her meloncholy departure (using a flash light as her own spotlight), we don't think we have ever been as equally amused and touched by a performer in the history of Hi-Gloss. Look out for the video, soon to appear in our 'film' section.

The Winner of March's GGG is.......The Anholts!!!

Name: Catherine and Laurence Anholt
Home: Lyme Regis, southwest England
Reason for Award: They are one of the world’s most successful children's author/illustrator teams. Catherine and Laurence Anholt have produced more than 100 children's titles which are published in dozens of languages around the world. Their books have won numerous awards including the prestigious Nestlé Smarties Gold Award on two occasions.
We met the Anholts on a wonderfully sunny afternoon in Dorset, whilst filming for the government run initiative, 'Bookstart' and they proved to be two of the loveliest people we have ever had the honour to film. Speaking in depth about their frustrating experiences as children and as penniless parents, the pair are a real inspiration to creative individuals everywhere. The film will be released on DVD as well as feature on the Bookstart website as soon as completed.

Reason for Award: Mr White appeared in our music video for Turkish electro star, Ramadan and boy did he make an impression.
Due for his premiere on Turkish TV this Valentines day, the manic presenters crazy antics amused most of Brick Lane on a snow blown Saturday afternoon and his booming voice was heard by most of East London....

REASON FOR AWARD: 2010 marks the 40th year since Hammer films released the rather exquisite The Vampire Lovers. Any film that includes Ingrid Pitt ravishing a buxom Kate O'Mara is worthy of this award.

The winner of Decembers GGG is Brittany Murphy

REASON FOR THE AWARD: This award is given out in absolute sadness at the loss of one of Hollywoods brightest talents. Continually under rated, Brittany Murphy was never given the chance to reach her true potential as an actress. Hilarious in films such as Clueless ("You're a virgin who can't drive") and Drop Dead Gorgeous ("Peter's gay dad, he's gaaay!"), haunting in Girl Interrupted and down right sexy in Sin City, the GGG is given to mark her mesmerizing performance in horror movie, Cherry Falls.
Those (Glossy) lips, those (Glamorous) shoes and those (Gorgeous) eyes. Brittany Murphy, we'll remember you for always.

REASON FOR AWARD: Well, as you can see, Hi-Gloss have not crowned anyone with our prestigious GGG award for the past three months, the reason being the fabulous diva above. We've been working hard to create a fierce music promo for Shena and her newest single 'Nasty Little Rumour'. Once you've seen the film you'll understand just how Glossed, Glamorous and Gorgeous these fine ladies are...we all need some more of this medicine in our lives!

REASON FOR AWARD: In keeping with our filming expedition to Africa next month, we have chosen he known as "The Cheetah Whisperer" (such drama!). Forget George Of The Jungle, this guy is the real deal. Having lived in the wilds of Namibia for 10 years, Olivier Houalet has formed an incredible bond with the countries wild cats and along with his 'jungle heart throb' looks and sentences such as "Through your eyes, they feel your meaning. If you mean strength and respect, they will be receptive", he is quite frankly f*****g cool!
